Playing Shirt Care / Washing Instructions

Canterbury Teamwear jerseys are made from a combination of cotton and polyester fibres, which have been spun, knitted and engineered to provide the best garment characteristics in regard to wearer comfort and strength for the rigours of many sporting codes.

The following instructions are provided as a guide for commercial laundry washing and care and when followed will maximise the life of the garment.

• Avoid storing wet garments, this can cause mould and other fungal bacterial growth
• If the garment is wet and soiled and cannot be washed immediately, then soak it in cold water and rinse well with warm water before washing
• DO NOT USE BLEACH on the garment, this also includes products containing chlorine, peroxide and perborate.
• The first wash is the most critical in relation to dye fastness. We recommend that the garment be washed before wearing. The first wash should use as much water as is possible and it is preferable to underload the washing machine. After washing rinse thoroughly.
• Jerseys should be washed separately from shorts and socks
