How do I Shop Online?
To make a purchase online, just browse the site using the navigation bar on the left. If you know what you are looking for use the ‘Search’ facility. When you find products you want to buy, use the drop down menu to select the size you require and click ‘Add To Basket’. This will add the product to your shopping basket. You can now either continue shopping or go to the check out. You can check what’s in your basket at anytime using the link at the top of the page.
How Do I Pay?
When you have finished shopping, click the ‘View Basket/ Checkout’ link at the top of the page which will take you to the Checkout. Existing customer can use their log in details and new customers can create a login. We recommend that you login using a valid email address so we can contact you if necessary.
We require you to fill in your Billing address (the address where the card you are paying with is registered). If you would like your purchases delivered to an address different to your Billing address, please un-tick the box and fill in your Delivery address. Please read the terms and conditions and then tick the box to confirm that you have done so. At this point you may ‘Cancel’ or ‘Review’ your order. If you are happy with the order you have placed click ‘Complete Order’ and wait for the page to load. This will take you to the payment page. Please fill in all relevant fields. Payment will be taken from your account when you click ‘Submit Payment’.
All payments are made in Pounds Sterling. If your credit or debit card isn’t conducted in Sterling, your card issuer will convert the transaction into the relevant currency. All prices are inclusive of VAT (where applicable) at the current UK rate. If your payment is successful we will send you a confirmation email. This email is automated and does not mean your order has been processed by Canterbury Newcastle (see ‘Order Status’ below).
What About Postage and Delivery?
Our standard flat delivery rate is £3.95 for any number of items.
UK Mainland orders will be dispatched either with Fastways Courier service or Royal Mail. Someone must be available at the delivery address to sign and accept the parcel when it arrives. If necessary the courier service may contact you using the number provides at the point of order to arrange delivery.
We aim to dispatch general retail orders within 7 working days. However if you require your purchase sooner than this please call the store on 0191 233 1999 and we will do our best to accommodate your requirements.
If your purchase is part of an online Teamwear Shop, the items will most likely be embroidered to order.
We aim to dispatch Teamwear items within 10 working days of the order being processed, however if the item is not in stock with us, it may need to be ordered in and then embrodiered, so may take longer. Please call us on 0191 233 1999 if you require a specific delivery time before purchasing.
International Delivery (including Europe) is only available using the Mail Order service. Please contact us on 0191 2331999 to arrange international delivery.
What does the Order Status mean?
New – The order is new and has not yet been processed by Canterbury Newcastle.
Received – The order has be received by Canterbury Newcastle and is being processed
Dispatched – Your order has been dispatched.
Void – We have not received payment from your bank and the order is void.
Does Canterbury Newcastle have a Mail Order facility?
We are happy to accept mail order transactions over the phone using any major debit or credit card. Please call us on 0191 2331999. We would advise using this method if your order is urgent.
What if I need to Return an item?
To arrange a return please call the store on 0191 233 1999.
All items must be returned ‘as sold’ – in original packaging, with all tags attached, unworn and in a resalable condition. Any items that fail to meet these criteria will not be accepted. When returning items, we recommend using Royal Mail Special Delivery service - Canterbury Newcastle cannot be held responsible for any items lost in the post. Canterbury Newcastle cannot refund postage or carriage costs for any returned items and reserve the right to apply an additional postage charge to any additional items sent out in exchange.
